GENERAL INFORMATION

Who is Balnce Health?

Balnce Health is a clinic that provides patients access to telehealth consultations with authorised prescribers of alternative medicines.

Yes. We operate under the strict regulations of the TGA and AHPRA, Australian Digital Health Agency, and our prescribers are fully authorised to prescribe Alternative therapy medication up to S8s through Telehealth.

ALTERNATIVE MEDICATIONS

Can I get a prescription for alternative medicines through Balnce Health?

During the consultation your doctor will review your clinical history and suitability for alternative medication. If suitable, the doctor will prescribe you medication for alternative therapies. However there is no guarantee made that your consultation will result in a script.

No referral is needed. You can book a consultation directly on our website. However our Doctors may request certain clinical history from your regular GP or specialist.

  • After your consultation, your prescriber may submit an application to the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) for approval. This process typically takes 3–5 business days.
  • However, most of our GPs are Approved Prescribers, which means they can issue prescriptions without submitting a TGA application for each individual patient. This allows for faster prescribing and a shorter wait time for eligible patients.

PRESCRIPTIONS

How long does it take for the GP to send me my prescription?
  • If your doctor is an Approved Prescriber, your prescription is usually issued within 1–2 business days after your consultation.
  • If a TGA application is required, approval may take 3–5 business days, after which your prescription will be issued and sent to the pharmacy for dispensing.
  • Under TGA guidelines, most prescribers are limited to prescribing a maximum of 60 grams per month
  • Requests for higher quantities require strong clinical justification and are rarely approved. You can discuss your needs with your GP during your consultation.

If your pharmacy has requested a copy of your TGA approval or Approved Prescriber (AP) letter, please send your request to our support team at support@balnce.health or reach out via our chat.

At Balnce, we provide a complete, end-to-end ecosystem for your alternative healthcare needs. This includes access to our trusted partner pharmacies, who have years of experience delivering excellent service in this specialised space.

Once your script is issued, we send it directly to KarmaPharma, which is integrated with live stock updates from all our partnering pharmacies. You’ll receive a notification within an hour of your script being sent, along with a link to securely complete your payment and arrange for your medications to be delivered straight to your door.

This streamlined process means you no longer have to visit a community pharmacy that may not have your medication in stock, saving you from unnecessary delays or the hassle of waiting days for orders to arrive. You also avoid the added step of pharmacies requesting TGA Authorised Prescriber letters, as our partner network already manages this efficiently.

At KarmaPharma, we never charge above the recommended retail price (RRP) and always pass on any available supplier discounts to our patients.

Your script will be securely held, and you’ll receive a friendly reminder before your next renewal is due.

There is a minimal standardised delivery fee, but you’ll still save both time and money by avoiding the need to travel to a pharmacy. Plus, you can chat online with a pharmacist at any time for advice or questions about your medications.
